We greeted children for their international celebration day from the stage of Blue Summer Feast
The Together Foundation was again able to create memorable emotions for little children and their parents by celebrating the International Children Day in a series of events that took place in the city parks – Plovdiv Stage Park, Ribnitsa Park and 2019 Park. Hundreds of families took their children to watch theatrical, musical and dancing performances.
The youngest guests were entertained by many dances, teams games, they learnt to make dolls, clay whistles, they drew and painted in open air art studios under the park trees. More than 200 young talents from 8 ethnic groups – Bulgarian, Armenian, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Serbian, Jewish and Ukrainian, took part in the festive events and stage performances. During the festive weekends children played different games and quizzes, and of course the most anticipated gifts were again Chipolino scooters that made six little children happy. The feast had many accompanying events and a big circus show outdoors performed by the children trained in the National School of Circus Arts, which was supported by the National Culture Fund.
The third edition of Blue Summer Feast opened on May 27 and went all through the weekends until 16-18 June, as part of the culinary fair called Ethno kitchen on wheels which was also dedicated to children. In addition to the traditional cuisines of the oldest communities in Plovdiv, the fair witnessed the demonstrations and master classes of renowned chefs from Ukraine, Serbia and Turkey.
The ethnic fair was visited by the general consul of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv and the honorable consuls of Italy and the Czech Republic, area mayors and representatives of different ethnic groups who came along with their families. Among the last fans of culinary art presentations was the talented singer Kerana.
