MaxEurope carried out a spring and an autumn campaign for voluntary blood donation in 2023

Yet another year in a row, with the assistance of the center for transfusion hematology in Plovdiv MaxEurope promoted a spring and an autumn action for blood donation. As part of this initiative employees of the companies from the holding - Chipolino and Maxcom - donated blood free and voluntarily.

The spring campaign was carried out on two consecutive Fridays, 19 and 26 May, and 90 people employed with the above companies responded. The autumn campaign took place on 17 and 24 November and was attended by 88 employees. The total number of blood donors from MaxEurope for 2023 was 178, which was a considerable contribution for the supply of blood products not only for Plovdiv County but also for 4 other counties – Smolyan, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Pazardzhik that make up one fifth of the national territory. This renders the regional center for transfusion hematology in Plovdiv a key medical establishment for Southern Bulgaria.

Blood donation is more than an act of humanity for society, it is an act of charitable nature, which is life-saving. It is even more valuable when such act is carried out as a corporate initiative because it makes it possible to collect big amounts of blood and blood products, which are indispensable for the medical treatment of people in need.
